Referral Program Terms

The Clapwork Referral Program allows registered users to earn credits or cash rewards by referring new freelancers and clients to the platform. Referral rewards are earned when a referred user completes qualifying actions as defined below.

To participate in the referral program, you must:

• Have an active Clapwork account in good standing.
• Have completed identity verification (at least email verification).
• Not be currently suspended or under investigation for policy violations.
• Be a natural person (not an automated system or bot).

Clapwork employees and their immediate family members are not eligible for referral rewards.

A referral qualifies for a reward when the referred user:

• Registers using your unique referral link or code.
• Completes account verification (email + profile setup).
• Completes a qualifying action within 90 days of registration:
  • Freelancer referrals: Completes their first paid contract milestone or receives their first payment.
  • Client referrals: Posts their first job and makes their first hire, or subscribes to a paid plan.

Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and referrals obtained through deception or spam are not eligible.

Referrals are tracked via:

• Unique referral links generated from your Referrals dashboard.
• First-click attribution: the first referral link a visitor opens is remembered in their browser for 30 days, and the referral is recorded if they register within that window. Clearing browser storage or registering on another device can lose the attribution.

You can track the status of your referrals, pending rewards, and earned credits in your Referrals dashboard.

Referral rewards are not active yet. Clapwork records referrals today, but it does not yet pay or redeem referral rewards. We will announce the reward structure before it applies, and nothing on this page guarantees a reward until then. The structure below describes the intended design and may change.

Intended structure:

Cash rewards are paid via the payment method on file (bank transfer or wallet). Minimum payout threshold applies. Clapwork reserves the right to modify reward amounts with 30 days' notice.

The following activities are prohibited and may result in disqualification, reward forfeiture, and account suspension:

• Creating fake or duplicate accounts to generate referrals.
• Using paid advertising that implies official Clapwork endorsement.
• Spamming referral links in unsolicited emails, forums, or social media comments.
• Offering incentives to referred users beyond what Clapwork provides (e.g., "I'll pay you to sign up").
• Using misleading claims about Clapwork services to generate referrals.
• Any form of fraud or manipulation of the referral tracking system.

Clapwork reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time with 30 days' notice to participants. Pending qualifying referrals at the time of program modification will be honored under the terms in effect at the time of the referral.

Referral rewards may be considered taxable income depending on your jurisdiction. You are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on referral rewards received. Clapwork may issue tax documentation (e.g., 1099-MISC) for rewards exceeding applicable thresholds.
